Quick Q: replacing coolant tonight on S2
Once I have ripped bottom rad hose off, drained system, put back on and filled back up to max on header tank, where is the valve to release any excess air?
Many thanks

yeah but after you have drained it,you also want to flush out the system with a hose to get rid of any rust and crappy shit you get stuck at the bottom of the rad!
This is what can cause lumpy running sometimes cos the water is not clean and clear!
when you have filled the car with water, run the engine with the cap off until the fan cuts in this will push the air to the top and out! then wait for it to cool down or wait til next day and top up ya fluid!!

It Wasnt Me!
I always bleed mine by taking the small hose off the top of the thermostat housing (that returns to the header tank) and leaving the cap off till it get's upto temp

took off bottom hose, and top hose, and blasted both with hose pipe
should have seen the black crap come out
fitted pipes back on, filled back up with 50/50, let car run with cap off till fans cut in and out, now just waiting for coolant to cool back down so i can check levels.
thanks for your help people!!
