FROM THIS .... TO THIS..... with Pics.
Lets say Hi to our newest RS Recruit (Mark Jeans).
He's been following me around the RS meetings for the past year, and always said he wanted a mint Sapphire Cosworth, and on National Day we found it. A 41,000 mile J plate 4 x 4 Sapphire Cosworth which will take very little work to get it onto the concourse stands.
He's been doing concourse with the BMW Club for many years and has lots of trophies to show for his hard work, so stand by concourse guys. He's a perfectionist, but intends to start off in the working class concourse next year, and then go from there.
BUT.... Would you have sold this (And yes, it is the real thing, M5).
FOR THIS.....
At least he has a lot of spare cash to lavish on the cossie......

Not exactly like he swopped one for the other though is it as he must have a decent chunk of cash left over after outing the bimmer and buying the saff. I'd have kept the BM if cash wasn't an issue

Yep, after selling the M5, he has plenty of cash left over after buying the Sapphire.
So like Spadge said, it wasn't as though he swapped one for the other. Sold the M5 for very good money (Due to it being a regular Concourse Car) and now has the Cossie play with and dosh to spend..... Not a bad situation to be in.

if he needed the cash then fair enough other than that its a strange one

I sold my E39 M5 not long ago - awesome car, one of the best cars I have ever owned, thrashed the bollocks of it most of the time and it never broke once! The electrics on the other hand had a mind of their own sometimes. Might even get another one in the near future
Cossie's and M5 are totally different types of cars IMO and not really comparable, wouldn't really want a Cossie as an every day car (although a Saff would be the one to choose if I did) where as I found the M5 a perfect everyday car apart from the fuel consumption < real tears
