Chip "Shame Miles isnt going though, his driving was great, really smooth and fluid and safe, much like Mr Rainbum really TBH
Never a worrying moment in the car with him"
are you fucking kidding me?
Last lap round the nurburgring ring in Mikes escort had me scared... we turned in far to early to the second right hander of Brunchen and took to the gravel, then onto the grass after leaping over a kerb leaving the spoiler behind....
?!
smooth, safe and under control 3 out of 10
Not shitting himself as a large accident loomed "10 out of 10"
Must be all the practice...

He must have got smoother or slower since then, he was very controlled when i went out.
He was still fast too, he made rapid progress without seeming like he was taking any risks, a very grown up way to enjoy the ring and it really showed his car off too.
Will probably join the queue for another go this time too

Stevie,
That's the trouble with the 'Ring, a simple mistake can be VERY costly (like £250 on this occasion I lost the carbon fibre splitter due to some "over enthusiasm") - it could have been so much worse, but I kept my foot in and didn't panic .
Also, this was over two years ago and I have clocked up more laps than the times you have split up with your woman (and that's saying something ) .
Unfortunately for me, someone caught it on film . Lucily I only got two wheels in the gravel (mine is the second "fresh" gravel entry). Turtle-head

John, recognise that place where mike came off.
Thats the bit where when i went out first thing in the morning on a cold track and came round it as hard as i had the day before on a hot track it went completely sideways on us at about 90mph or something like that?
Proper scarey moment that was for me for a second till i got hold of it agian, i think its on the lap we videod (the one that was supposed to be a slow and steady sighting lap but part way in we got a bit carried away, lol)

Youi reply ' steadyish ' then both burst out laughing and we go sideways again lol.
The track was very cold and im sure the clock read about 100

Clock reading about 100 in a ford is about 90 anyway
Some proper happy memories from last time, i dont think this trip will compete somehow with us both being passengers this time.
Im already looking forward to the easter one next year!
Im going to have at least 3 different cars to drive round then if you bring yours again as well as we are taking either mine or cally's or possibly both, and rob is bringing his utterly mental astra along too whic im going to thoroughly enjoy hammering round the ring, so im bouncing off the walls with excitement for that trip!

Excellent mate.
Do you fancy buying a "group buy" E36 or something that we can just give unbelieveable death to and not care if we have to abandon it there, or you reckon just stick to taking our own cars?
