Will a 205 tyre fit an 8 inch wide rim?

Yes I had 205's on the front of my Saff on 8" rims... not an ideal situation tho

I have 205's on mine diamond cuts(7.5") and thats about right.

225s would be " Ideal " but 215 is a lot better than a 205

Would 225's fit ok on a saff 4x4 with comp mo's (8 inch wide)
Its been lowered 25mm
