my bros got a 02 plate astra convertible - no space in the back, quite nasty inside...
and its MAROON!!
looks rank with its cream leather....
if you do get 1, put a shit load of copper grease behind the wheels, the twat hit a curb and got a flat tyre, it took 3 of us to get the wheel of, and that was smacking the fukk out it with mallet!

If you want one (don't understand why), get a nearly new one thats already dropped nearly half its value...
Nothing against Vauxhalls, I love the Vx220 and the Monaro looks an interesting car with a cool engine.

Anybody seen the 'sport diesel' adverts? been on the vauxhall site as the vectra with the nice wheels looks smart, but i can't bloody find the on the website!

Do you ever judge a car by anything other than straight line performance???
You seem to have a thing that unless a car is quicker than a tuned RST then its pony... and that if it is and its a Scooby then it doesn't count because its about to melt a piston!

Heres a pic of a monaro and a description of a stage 5 tune up 
The Vauxhall Monaro will be available from the spring of 2004 powered by a 5.7 litre V8 engine developing 328hp and 347lbs/ft of torque.
This stylish full sized four-seater coupe will accelerate to 60mph in just over six seconds and reach a top speed in excess of 160mph.
Stage Five Additional 320 bhp
Cold air intake system, mass airflow meter, Vortech 8psi supercharger, heavy duty (five row) intercooler, blue-printed and balanced 6.2 litre LS1 V8 engine, 80mm throttle body, PCM program, performance injectors, Vortech/ATI harmonic balancer and keyed crankshaft, custom forged pistons, I-beam 4340 billet con-rods, ARP main and head studs, ported cylinder heads, stainless steel shimmed head gaskets, molybdenum push-rods, performance valve-spring retainers, high output valve springs, 1:8 ratio billet aluminium roller rockers, modified oil cooler system, high output crankcase breather system, high volume oil pump, high volume sump and modified baffle tray, high performance dual timing chain, custom 2-piece engine covers, 3" 'cat back' stainless steel exhaust, high-flow catalytic convertors and pipes, competition clutch and flywheel, transmission cooler, uprated differential and differential cooler, 6-pot calliper AP brake upgrade.

Benn, pops right actually. When I was out there last year I bought some Aussie tuning mags and those XR6 Turbos look great fun. They run about 0.00005 PSI boost and are still quick. Whack that up and watch em fly...
