importing from U.S and oz?
just wodered what the score is with importing bits from the U.S and Australia with regards tax costs etc.
looking at spending about 2500-3000pounds but not if im gonna get stung with massive taxes and import duties etc.
Anyone done this or have any ideas on costs or how i can get arround it?
parts will be turbo/wastegate setup and managment parts probbebly.
any help greatly appreciated

I imported my cossie to oz and couldnt avoid tax, although it was only taxed on what I declared. I regularly send stuff to the UK from here, a couple of times a month at least. Never been stung on those which include an iPod and camera accessories.
May be able to help you but the key to avoiding is the declared value which means if it is lost in transit, it may not be insured for the full amount. Shoot me a PM if you need any help mate
