Apparently you have to buy large 'blocks' to have the best chance of winning and get a decent return on your investment.
My dad regularly won Ł100 TO Ł300 a month, his lodger won Ł30,000 once.

statistically Ł1000+ is reckoned to return around 8% over the long term - not a bad investment in those terms, at the very worst they are still worth face value at any time..

Just bought 7k worth and hope i get something back. Good thing is that you can always cash them back in if needed and hopefully get a better return than if it was in the bank.

I had some but cashed them in for the car insurance a few years back. My uncle has about 12K worth and in 1998 won 7 out of the 12 months. Wouldnt mind getting some more.

from what ive heard they are pretty pointless unless you have over 10ks worth.
Not sure how true this is..
By this i mean, over 10k and its better than a high interest account...anything less is riding luck on wether you win.... Good side is ya get ya money back unlike lottery!

My mate Lorna bought a oners worth and in two months she got her money back in two fifty quid prizes. She put the cash back in and one a further oner. Nothing since,a lthough that's not bad going in six months.
