Sebastien Loeb in a Ford Focus WRC for 2006
Persisting rumors in France state that Sebastien Loeb will be a Ford driver for 2006... this would be a cool thing, as TBH i don't see who can beat him at the moment .. maybe at last Ford will be back on top in rally !!!

maybe Loeb is so good because of the car and team behind him?
i thought Ford were doubtful about their future in rallying, hence why they have gone a bit limp wristed in this years campain. they used to run 3 cars in every event.

That's because Malcolm Wilson with his M-Sport team are running it without manufacturer backing from Ford, Ford are taking time out obviously to develop the mk2 Focus WRC car, this happens each time a new model is released (mk1 Escort, mk2 Escort etc. etc.).
Ford are coming back into it next year - I think Sebastian's move will have something to do with the rumours that Peugeot and Citroen are pulling out of WRC next year.
Cheers,
Andy

off topic, it's Sebastien with a "e", he's french
It's not a rumour, Peugeot and Citroen will not be in WRC for 2006, but they will come back for 2007

His decision hangs on whether Citroen plan to come back in 2007, if so he will drive a factory Citroen again but run by a private team next year. Citroen and Peugeot are waiting on the confirmation of the 2007 regs, its been said his decision will be anounced when they have decided their future.

Also Pug are gone next year that is not a rumor and Cit are possibly going to field a car for Loeb as a priviteer team with view to a come back in 2007 but it depends if funding can be found for him to run privatley next year.
