Boost Junky,
Plug tomtom into pc with USB supplied. Give it a sec then a window should pop up, click on 'open folder to view contents'

Then open downloaded file in new window, click on the folders, pick a voice, open that folder

Select and drag contents (except instructions) into voice folder in first window you opened.

Hope that makes sense.

Andy, have you copied the .chk and .vif files (not any others) for each voice straight into the voice folder?

connect your tomtom go to the computer with the USB lead. (Click the start logo on your computer, at the bottom right of the screen & then click on my computer and you should see the tomtom as an external hard drive with a little icon.

Click on the icon and the tom tom's different folders should open. You need to find the VOICES folder.

It is simply the case of copying the unzipped celebrity voices from your computer (both sets, i.e. data21.chk & VIF file) and then pasting them in the voices folder of your tomtom, or dragging and dropping them over. You need only copy the one file for Yoda And Darth Vader

When I installed mine, I firstly deleted some of the voices that the tomtom had (you can do this directly on the TT). This made it easier to find them. A couple of them were hidden though. To find them on the TomTom I would test all the voices, e.g. try out Astrid from Sweden as it may be Joanna Lumley!

That's from the install in the ZIP file.

I tried to send them to you Mr Manc, but it got bounced back by tiscali. I used your PF email address.

Also sent them to Andy_ST200 a few days ago.

Yup, but no joy.

Adrian, i followed them instructions and still nothing, is it because my TomTom is on a PDA and not a TomTom go unit?

Doesnt make any difference. PM Jamz as he has it running on his XDA, he may be able to give you some pointers.

I have tomtom 5 on my XDA, it runs fine with the voices.

You have to put them in the 'Navigator' folder.
