Storming to second place in Best Local Restaurant category in Venue's 2003 readers poll, after almost two decades on the Triangle, Cattlemans proves that the steakhouse is very much alive and kicking. There are 60s-80s background chart tunes, as you chew on fish, chicken and, of course, those steaks, which range from an 8oz fillet to a visible-from-space 72oz monster. You don't hang around so long without getting the basics right, so the atmosphere's always spot-on, getting extra-happy after people have had a few drinks.
