I am having trouble getting into certain sites. Not sure why.
e.g. www.royalmail.com
This just brings up a DNS Error. I am able to access it from other computers just not mine.
What could the problem be??

DNS servers are normally pretty reliable, but they can fail.
They can also be overwhelmed when an ISP doesn't upgrade them sufficiently to keep up with growth, when network paths get congested, and/or when malicious people mount attacks (e.g., denial of service) over the Internet.
When that happens you may see significant delays ("pauses") when trying to access web pages while your computer is trying to look up the necessary Internet addresses, or you simply not be able to access the web pages at all.

u can clear your DNS errors, with a simple command in the command prompt, its a common problem on xp as it runs a DNS client and stores the errors.
let me know if you are still having problems

right then try this
Go to the command prompt in the start menu
MS DOS will come up
Type cd\ to get back to the C:\ prompt
Type ipconfig/flushdns
after a second it should say cleared DNS cache or something like that
that should clear all your DNS errors out.
But also rebooting your system should clear these aswell, but not always.
Give that a try

Dns is used used to resolve a domain name to an ip address (basic explanation). If your'e using a standard isp then I doubt it is a dns problem directly. Maybe you have a program running like peerguardian which will block access to certain sites due to spyware and software piracy issues.
Weird one, but hope this helps.
