Thought I would be clever to day and remove the imobleiser from my car (the factory fitted one). When i found the dam thing burried under the dash, and traced the wires there are three black wires going into the ECU
on pin numbers 4 10 and 20 . DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT WIRES TO CUT, JOIN, REMOVE COS im buggerd if i no what to do.

Pin 4 is Crank Position (Wire needs to connected straight from Pin 4 to the CPS plug)
Pin 10 is ECU relay trigger wire goes to the igntion relay in the fusebox.
Pin 20 is Switched 12v Live, is connected to injectors and ecu from relay the fusebox

THIS IS a WIPAC guide I have just done may be of help
Firstly locate the ECUBLAH BLAH BLAH
IGNITION OFF
this process may work with battery disconnected for safety
locate relay BLAH BLAH BLAH
wire using the tester to confirm this is correct (it will be near the thicker black/red wires for cranking output) this wire needs to be cut and soldered BLAH BLAH BLAH
At this stage the car should start if you wish to check it though you will still need wipac deactivated
Next circuit in BLAH BLAH BLAH
now locate BLAH BLAH
confirm which pin is BLAH BLAH BLAH , once you find it, cut and mark this wire as such
now locate BLAH BLAH BLAH
At this stage the car should start if you wish to check it though you will still need wipac deactivated
BLAH BLAH
now locate BLAH BLAH
confirm which pin is BLAH BLAH
now locateBLAH BLAH
Now, provided, yours is identical to mine, the car should now fire up without deactivating Wipac. once you have confirmed this you now need to remove the power and earths to wipac
using a test light with IGN ON check remaining black wires to the unit, those which are live or earthed should be cut and insulated, now the unit can be removed and wont beep upon IGN live....

thats the wipac one though remember, not investigated Vecta, but may be very similar, though the relay for starter may not be present... If I remember and get a chance I'll have a look at Daves

Very True Nick, I had considered that but if a thief is good enough to break the circuits which are immobilised, they wont use the details above to do it, they will simply hack in another, much quicker less permanent way, unfortunatley its dead easy anyway IMO ... This is the problem with factory immobilisers, once they have inspected/cracked one, they are all the same
Anyway now Dave has all the details I'll edit my post
