Hey bird, not sure if Waps has mentioned it but Daytona MK is across the road (literally) from my new house 
I used to work there a few years ago and back then it was actually rated the best outdoor karting circuit in the UK, not sure if it still is. Keith put a post up on here a couple of weeks ago about arranging a PF day out there.

To be honest, i dont think we necessarily need the best track in the UK, we just wanna go and have a laugh 
Im sure the MK one will be sufficient for our needs... and it wont mean a trek round the country for it

im gonna turn up to this purely for the comedy value of it all if nothing else! I can see a few chests being puffed out and some pride getting battered.... will be a crack though 
Can you take your own cart Rich? or do you have to use the ones provided?

Depends which event you do Dave.
If you all want to race against each other I suggest the Mini Grand Prix but they only run it on certain days so you need to ring and check

Dave - you've got be kidding!
That's the equivalent of saying can I use a racing powerboat on a canal!
It's an easy mistake to make though, as people assume that one kart is the same as another. With the right gearing, mine'll do sub 3 seconds to 60 from a rolling start, or top 120 with a long enough run.

sounds like a tool! ive only ever driven the ones provided at tracks, never one like yours.
Im VERY tempted to take Pops' off his hands though... just dunno if i can justify it with the amount of use it will prob get. would have to buy a trailer to methinks

Buckmore Park is very good.
Me and Benn went a couple of years ago for my brothers birthday,
and I actually won a race!!!! Which is more than what i can say for Benn
He just about fitted in the kart!!

i go go kartin once a year, last year i went to mk track was good fun, twin engined carts, top speed was only 40mph though then off to oxford for clubbin and this year i went to 3 sisters in wigan same again twin engined carts that only did 40 mph but was still good fun then we went back down to blackpool for the nite think each time cost around Ł80 for an 1hr on track, just get people heavier than u to come with u that way u got more chance of winnin lol

Cola, from memory I think you can have up to 21 drivers in a mini grand prix, if you need to make up numbers im sure some of the Beds Group will be up for it

Well I've called them and this is what they say:
We are running 2 Daytona 90 races on Saturday 24th September at 11am (arrival 10:30am) and 2pm (arrival 13:30). The cost is Ł150 per team + Ł2.50 public liability surcharge. The race includes a 20 minute practice/qualifying session followed by a 90 minute race. Teams can have a maximum of 4 drivers and minimum of 2 drivers. Please call us on the number below to book your race!
So I'm thinking we should get teams of 4 together (unless you're Ping Pon in which case you're SO good you'd want to do it all yourself ) If everyone can get into teams of 4 it'll cost us a smidgen over 38 quid each. And *cough* we should do the afternoon one lol.
So if anyone has/wants a team, let me know
