Holbay and Warrior heads- Better than YB ones?
Are they? Presume they have far bigger ports and valves, hence why they exist and n/a people dont all just use modded YB ones.
And if so, why dont anyone use them on mega power Cossies?
Or do they, slyly, with YB cam covers...

these heads have been almost impossible to find which i guess limits their use, but certainly produced the goods..
I see that Connaught Engines have taken the rights to manufacture warrior heads - "Connaught has also acquired full manufacturing rights for the Warrior 16-valve twincam Ford Pinto-based units, much in demand for historic rallying since their adoption by Holbay. These Ford Pinto-based engines are available from 1600cc to 2.5-litres, with 300 bhp and 220 lb. ft of torque supplied by the bigger units."

i`ve been looking into this over the past 16 months, flow rates and C/R aspects along with different throttle body inlet lengths etc. (50mm tapered seem to be more torquey than non tapered.
so far very very impressed, torque delivery is masively different to cossie head and was supprised at power curves.
not as big a difference as you`d think..................
obviousley stainless valves are needed to cope with the heat.
dont change just yet IMO...

if you look at a Holbay head you can see where Cosworth got the idea lol
Most of these heads are OLD...would you run it on your car with all the risks this old and brittle head brings?
I know someone that has been out to buy the moulds...he's got a few raw heads as well....
