Default Quick question - Capacitors and Resistors

making a circuit at the mo. I have 3 capacitors and a resistor to solder in.

Have soldered in a capacitor and thought does the voltage flow either way ?

Confused now say thought I'd ask. Someone on here must know do capacitors and resistors flow either way or one way. If one way which way ?

It depends on the capacitor, some are electrolytic and are directional, others (usually the smaller capacitance ones) arent

Since when is capacitance measured in ohms?

Sure you have capacitors?

Seriously though, describe the capacitor - is it a brown coloured disc, or a blue or black cylinder?
