WinXP Home Edition with SP2 - Can u email me a file over pls
Right, computer at home has gone tits up. Crashed and has corrupted windows. Won't boot XP at all now.
I need HAL.DLL file please.
I could extract it from my original CD, but I dunno if this file is updated by Service Pack 1 or 2, so I would prefer someone to email me their copy from a PC running XP HOME EDITION and SERVICE PACK 2 please! rather have all amo with me now so I can sort it tonight.
HAL.DLL
it is in c:\windows\system32\ directory
or whatever drive/win folder is appropriate to you system.
please mail to steve@aquatours.com
Cheers ,

Cheers Guys!!! Thanks Gareth,, i got it!
Ish - cheers mate. I've done my searching and found those links already tho
I am getting error message on bootup saying... "hal.dll is missing or corrupt. Please re-install". So at least I can try doing that and then see what the next error message says
Will let ya know how it goes this evening.
BTW - this happened 'cos my computer overheated. Just suddenly crashed, and I felt the case and it was really hot. Turned back on straight away and it crashed again near end of windows load (I was chip leader on online poker at the time u see ) and wanted to get back in. LOL. Now it dont wana load at all. I think the cpu fan is ok. Think power supply fan has packed up. CPU sits next to power supply in my case. it was really hot!
Oh joy. I am pretty good at sorting this shite out tho.
