abbs you have just answered ya own question mate
all cossies need to run super, tbh they really really need leaded 4 star but that aitn gonna happen
if its not mapped for the boost then its not gonna have the fuel map there, greens run lean on a cossie with a t34 at 1.73bar, well mine does anyway, thats on optimax and at 6000rpm under load
running normal fuel will make it pink, thats why ya use super as it stops the pinking
tell ya mate that even though his car will be sooooooooo much better for throttle responce and power what is actually happening is hes cylinders are getting soo hot that the fuel is sparking from the tip of the plug and the temps of the engine BEFORE the spark
thats when the cossie engine melts
i know ya get a hard time on here, its hard work for lots of people tbh, but in the end people like gareth ect do know what there talking about and they do mean well
so to recap, he needs optimax, fresh optimax too as it goes off after a month ive noticed and also run the correct boost for the map, anymore OR any less and the car will either melt or dilute the oil with fuel

...except the lambda/cat equipped ones
when i driove the cossie i want to get out on the coldest winter morning, turn the key and recive my hose pipe ban from the council on my way to work

LOL, but just didn't want anyone to poison their cat's or lambda sensors
Other than that, I agree with you re: SUL and Optimax compared to 95RON in Cossies (or RST's for that matter as quite a lot of people thought they came 95RON capable from the factory when it was actually 97RON).

Some good advice....
1) turn the boost down before it melts.
2) DONT EVER run it on 95ron unless it was LIVE mapped for it
Dark greens under ANY state of tune should NEVER hold more than 1.5 bar above 4200 rpm as the injector duty cycle is on the limit if not over it at that boost.
I.E LEAN !!!!

My advice was based on the average cossie as a general rule.
Factors such as fuel pressure differences, head skim, valve seal quality, comp ratio, cams etc...
ALL have bearing on the limits too.
Cars that PUSH the limits can gain and be safe IF live mapped and tested at the limits.
