Anyway i think all tuners have various differences and this is why people choose them!!
Its all down to personal preffrences and what suites you best, i like Karls work and i think he's vey good at what he does and wouldnt use any one else, but im sure other people have different views.
Its just life

From what I've seen of Marks (MAD) work, it too is first class and he builds excellent engines.
As indeed does Karl. From my point of view......(My Opinion Only), I chose Karl for four very good reasons.
1. I know that it was him personally that tightened every nut and bolt..... Not some apprentice that's put less engines together than myself.
2. He does all his own head work, in house (Garage)
3. He's built enough cossie engines that have proved them self reliable, and met their owners expectations.
4. He makes a good cuppa tea, and is interesting to talk too.
I know there are other engine builders who do just as good work out there, and everyone chooses their builder for one reason or another. Those were my reasons for choosing Karl.
I could well have chosen Mark, Stu, Harvey or The Reyland Crew, just to name a few. But I didn't. Met Karl, Been in a couple of his conversions, liked what I saw, and have always been happy with the results.
Hope this will put to rest the slaggin off of other engine builders
END OF TUNER WARS PLEASE. Choice is a personal thing and the more choice we have, the better for us all

Its beyond me why people go out of their way to tell others they made the wrong decision by not going to their preferred tuner!!

ANDREAS : It's actually a Universal Turbo's T38.... if you put it next to a T34/5 and saw the difference and internal size difference, you'd see the difference. Unfortunately I didn't take a Before and After Pic to show the difference.

Sounds like usual rubbish I read so to often on this forum. Shame as I do like reading posts, but I always dread to think what I will find when I turn the computer on.

Hi Gus,
I have a pair of cossie engines to go in her now, so as and when I have the time I will continue to shoe horn all the parts in!!! (Well engines as they're quite a bit bigger than the cvh lumps) It's always been at the bottom of my priorities but I'm real eager to get her up and running again!

Yeah my thinking was that cossie engines are so reliable at 350bhp that a pair of 350bhp YB engines (i.e T34 and greys on std lumps) is so much more cost effective than tuning a CVH to it's limits! The main issue is the front engine bay which needs the chassis legs widening by 40mm on each side but its relatively straight forward enough to mount the YB transversely!!

Yeah no probs, I want to get it sorted out as I want to compete against my brother who currently races our cossie powered Lotus sunbeam. Thats the beauty of sports libre there's virtually no rules as to what you can do to modify the car! I'd have one engine per wheel if it would fit!! ROFLOL
