the cossie t5 box is used by tvr so fitting should be no probs.
rover v8s are similar to cossie engines in that they tend to have more power in the pub than in the car

I have a phone number for a guy who sells 5.7 Chevy engines that have been in boats.
I got mine for £700, inside is like new, rated at 260hp.

Also has big blocks, had one for £650 a few years ago. 427ci forged crank, 4BM. Sweet!

One of my old mates called Antony Murry (aka twinny) in birmingham
he knows everything about the rover v8's he has a modded 4.5litre v8 in a escort cos (rwd) with cams ,twin50's idfs carbs ,(orange colour esc cos)
he has had nothing but v8's fitted in various fords right back from the mk1 escort days his he is very good at building these engine and his one revs high to 9k atlest
he knows these engines inside and out what works what doesn't all from trial and error
his brother (andrew)also have a 3.9 i in a blue escort cos(imprezza blue) also rwd
they are currently building a BMW m3(old one) with a rover highly tuned v8 for a guy called Wanyne who lives in Qinton Brum
there are some pics on the net of this car but i have lost the link
