Default Headlights!!

Right peeps need some help- put my headlights on sidelight all fine turn to dipped and the things go dimmer??? full beam is spot on?

Whats wrong is a s2?

Where should I start looking?

Dipped beam fuse contact resistance or same problem in the column stalk unit.
Check fuses first, then the column stalks ... is my tip!

check the two either brown or white little relays at the back of the fuse box

there together wiggle them

more than certain its them mate

mm thought it would be relay related - are they all the same on the escort range?

Had this on my S2,Turned out to be the relays blowing and melting,had to keep replacing them at £7 each got expensive....then they just didn't work at all,the fusebox had melted,needed a new one really,but thought nah sod it and never fixed it,sold it last week for the poor guy to sort out now lol

what it is i think is through vibrations the relays move and the pins where out

the best idea i seen was what poom did and just put a bit of solder on each of the pins so that that fatter and get a better connection

he hasnt had any probs yet

but any mk3/4 are the same relays

just two little ones
