Need to inform the DVLA of new engine number, the digits has been painted over but are still legible just one isn't as clear as the rest

It's the third digit in - should it be a number or a letter? i think it's a number going off the previous engine number.

Looks like a 0, but looks like it could be a C or a G at the mo

 

scrape the paint off then scribble over it with chinagraph then wipe off, should leave white in the dents from the letters which will help read it.

 

just scuff the paint off with a little emery cloth

 

what do you do if you aint got an engine number? my block was pretty minging when i bought it and when i scraped all the surface corrosion off it is not readable

 

it will be there, need to rub it down a bit, alternatively just stamp the one from the log book there
