postage and pakaging is just that, not labour charge, thats a seperate charge, would you like to pay the guy at mcdonalds for the wear on his shoes ontop of the price or sould that be accepted as something that happens when at work

Ginge, if your willing to come and do mail order packaging and post offive runs for me, 5days a week, for free, then i will stop charging people for my time to do it. I seriously fail to see any argument you can give against this and am very confused as to why people cant understand this.


Added to that, McDonalds supply uniforms and the price of these is on your big mac whether you like it or not pal.

I guess some of us are meant to manage and some of us are meant to be employees.. and that is just fine.. keeps the big wide world revolving.

 

stu you dont charge more though , you have a set fee for postage

its nothing to do with employee and managment ect, this is ebay selling second had stuff you dont want, do you charge the person for the petrol on a test drive when you are selling a car , if not is it cause its just being petty as you will be getting money for a car in the end anyway so its classed as a expense, thats the example i should have used

ebay is not a shop !!!!, you are selling goods and in doing so understand it has to me sent, does the person sending a cheque charge for the stamp and the time he uses

notice when ford deliver your parts they dont charge for the packaging and then the deisel plus the drivers time,,,,,,,,,,,, okm ints kind of in the bill but not when you are getting a 3 quid gasket delivered that day , again thats a business though, not a man selling from his bedroom with no premises !!!!

if you sell somink on ebay you should do so understanding that you are going to have to post it, also there sould be a seperate fee for the labour for posting as some people would not buy if they was paying 10 quid courier fees when they person sends it via african 5th classe mail wrapped in selotape the man has nicked from his office but is charging for it anyway !!!

thats where my issue comes from , small items dont cost 5 quid to post , if it costs 88p to send its a pisstake, sorry but it is, thats my opinion and also why i dont sell on ebay, anything ive sold on here has been sent at cost, i dont charge for the crisp box i get from my off licence even though i had to buy all the crisps too

But another slant is that why would any sane person sell on here something that just gets pulled apart, abused for being overpriced and generally shot down in flames, when you can sell it on Ebay. You get no moaning tight-arses that want something for nothing. People have a choice on Ebay. They look at the auction then they either Buy, if its what they want and they agree with the terms of the auction, or they Dont. Simple.

We will never start a revolution, there is so much Ebay shit out there. I hate, as much as you do, people that really blatantly rip people off with postage, but in my example, I am charging a FIVER. Yes, a mere Five pounds. If you bought this item from ANY retail establishment that sells it via Mail Order they would charge you THEIR SET POSTAGE CHARGE, which would more than likely be around Ł7.50.

How ever many times have I bought something and paid more in postage than the actual item cost?

Take this example, imagine if you owned a company and your set Postage Charge was, say, Ł10.00. Then one day, you decided to shop for a better deal and you found a Company that could offer you a similar service for Ł7.50. Would you decrease you Postage Charge? Or would you be pleased with the extra profit you have generated from change of company? Its no different to sourcing the parts from a different supplier cheaper. Lots of companies do it, and do they always pass the savings onto us? Do they fook.

 

Hi Christian i won that last one of ebay and i dont feel robbed at all, the reason i paid that much for the thermostat is because i know it wont bs shite gear of you and it arrived a day later in registerd post. As you have said though its an auction and if there is enough intrest in one item it could sell for a ridiculous amount, it all depends how bad some one wants sommit.

Business is business,any company selling something be it a fast food joint or an engine builder is doing it simply to make money so why moan if they are making a profit out of it.

christian knows that i wasnt having a dig at the auction price he got, fair play to him, the postage was actualy more based onn the postage scamers not christian

hell ive even bought somink of christian and am more than happy with it , hes also gave me lots of help and advise too so please accept i do not have a issue with him in the slightest

i just really cant forget about that fooker on ebay who ripped me off for postage on 3 items i bought and sent it in the same box for less than the first postage charge ,

yeah totally agree mate there are some proper scammers out there who fook your day with stupid postage cost . In general i think every one on this thread has takin some reply`s the wrong way, when really no-one is havin a dig at any one else on here there just havin a dig at people on ebay who charge over the odd`s on postage
