Eeek! OT........EVO 8 Stolen - owner shot in the knee!
Nottingham area.......From the MLR:
Evo 8 FQ340 Stolen
Hi guys,
Posting this so that you can all keep an eagle eye out
From the details I have heard, he handed them the keys, they shot him anyway and then to rub salt in the wound, whilt he was bleeding on the drive, asked him how to start it
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/n...re/4661603.stm
This is a mate of mine, the bastards shot him in the knee and made off with his FQ340.
The registration is WX04 KVL, probably have different plates on by now mind, it's gun metal grey.
Fingers crossed they find these scumbags.....
Burglars shoot householder in leg
A man has been shot in the leg after he disturbed burglars who broke into his home and stole his car.
The 36-year-old victim found the intruders in the early hours of Thursday at his house in Goldcrest Road, Basford, Nottingham.
He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The burglars stole keys and drove off in the victim's grey Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, registration WX0 4KVL.
Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the car to contact them.
Detectives from Nottingham's Operation Stealth team, which was set up to deal with drug-related gun crimes in the city, are investigating the incident.

Poor guy....
Bad news for Nottingham as well, it could well do without any more gun crime being in the national press...
Its not a bad place at all - lived here for 25 years and never had any trouble of any description..
Trouble is in small areas... Evo, Cosworth, M's, AMG's, Scoobies + Places like Basford, St. Anns, Meadows = Crime
Sad fact, but they are turning into ghetto's
I never even considered taking my cosworth if i would be parking anywhere near some of the more notorious areas...

My pal was carjacked at gunpoint in Hyson Green, Nottingham (milk bottle in a coalmine) and then mugged at gunpoint 18 months later. After the bastards had mugged him they peppered the side of his 205 GTI with a shotgun.
Notts is bad news.

Yeah Notts is a jungle. Some of my mates used to go down on a Sunday night but after 1 getting his VR6 carjacked outside the Hyson Green KFC with about 30 witnesses who saw nothing and another getting threatened by 3 guys when he went back to the multi storey across the street from Rock City none of them go there now.

I've had an Escort Cosworth Stolen from right in front of me (while the chap was "pretending" to buy it off me at my house and TBH that shook me enough.......
But cases like those above, i.e. thefts at knife/gun point must be very distressing and sadly are not uncommon in certain parts of the UK now.
I've heard of the "traffic light bump" thefts in Bristol, whereby a car "taps" your rear bumper at lights/pedrestian crossing, then when you get out to see the damage you are threatend and your car driven away
