Default Chrome wheels?

Hi all, Does anyone know about Chrome wheels? Can you use them on an everyday car that'll be used during winter on mucky salty roads? I remember someone once saying that the chrome comes off or something? They'll be cleaned every few days I spose? They're for my L200 Warrior, and before anyone takes the piss and calls me "Max Power Boy" or something! have a look in my garage to see my other toy and you'll see why I want a fancy road car!

I await your abuse!lol, and hopefully some info on Chromes!
Andy

chrome wheels do have a tendency to lnot last with our weather, have you ever seen the mondeo's that came with chrome wheels ( 16" multispokes ) well i have never seen one set that has lasted.

don't know much bout the plating process but wonder if you could ask for extra lacquer or protection ??

All chrome wheels are useless in the winter, because of the salt used on the roads, coupled with the rain, and brake dust, will inevitably cause the chrome to peel.
chrome from america is generally triple plated, so lasts a little longer, but still will go.
Best bet is to change the chromes back to std wheels during the winter months, as they do in Germany, America etc etc

cheers buddy, there's 4 minutes left on the auction, I may bid, but I was relying on selling my old rims to put toward the price, so I may not buy em now?
Cheers again,
Andy
