Good, i knew the 5 door comment would get your attention
Need an opinion mate, got quite scared when i took this head off today.
Here's my freshly skimmed beast:
And here's the one i took off the LET:
Now i spoken to Bob about this, he's not entirely sure either, but we both think its had a few too many skims. What you think?
Mine is coscast, the LET one is GM

turn head upside down (with plugs still in it)
measure how much water it takes to fill the chamber when the valves are shut.
If the valves dont seal properly (they WONT on an old head like that!) then open them, smear a bit of vaseline on them, and close them again.
Obviously if you were keeping it i would say lap them in instead, but thats a quick way to get them to seal well enough to measure the chamber volume.
