pmsl, well i just told the fooker with the bike who keeps parking infront to fook right off , i moved the cossie forward and the fooker still tried to park there the wanker
hes been moved and dans got me doing another job for 2 weeks pmsl
but sat we will take out the engine and thenevenings ill be stripping the fooker
got some really cool ideas for it too

it all depends on what you're going to be using it for imo
10k in a 500quid xr2 is still a xr2 after all, but with a 10k specialist engine that the majority wioth that cash would rather a newer car
a xr2 turbo is worth more in bit than together these days, gonna be hard to sell a trick engine thats 10k to buy new

i dont get the suprise attack theorys, is that for people who wanna be different to get more attention they crave and cant get it any other way
look at it from this point of veiw, its still a old shitty ford , thats what people see
RX7 would get ya laid and a bird wont know what it is but it looks more like a sports car than a nurse's car witha body kit
you aint gonna spend 15k on this car anyway so thats a pointless argument as im sure you would rather a better car than a xr2 for 15k

SPEAK TO FUDGEASS ABOUT HIS THROTTLE BODDIES and get it on aftermarkt for a very very fast car with stock engine thats cheep as chip anbd will have that suprize attack as most erst's are fooked anyway so 175 no lag high torque will make a general bleed valve erst cry up to 90MPH, then it will piss on ya

ginge has a point though... but it's not like you're going for the 10k mountune engine is it?
The main use for an engine like that is admittedly the track, which is what my current car is being built with in mind. (still won't be spending that much on an engine though )
however.....

kark thats true about half the cars on the board but turbo cars are slightly more fun to to the way the power kicks in
a N/A car is about reliability and a predictable power band, meaning ya dont have to just come on boost and slipp the clutch or spin th wheels but get the car to work well
if ya gonna do anything with a car, learn from peeps mistakes big time, dont go turbo engine, look at totb, non of em done anything but broke down
so keep it cheep and reliable and with a stock engione ya got a secret car thats different BUT will cost 150 quid a replacement with loads available all over the place once all the custom parts are made
then spend ya wages on getting ya end wet and the car for a toy

it all depends on how well the inlet manifold performs, ive heard they work good.

Stu have a look at a new management system we've got in the next PF, it's cheap as chips and offers the same sort of features as say an Omex 500 or entry level DTA ECU but for MUCH less so could be right up your street...
Oh, and as already said, throttle bodies, some nice cams, raised compression and a rather funky exhaust should give you the right side of 200bhp and a LOT of fun.
