Default Multi-drop van driving..

Anyone here do/done it?

One of my mates does it and reckons its a doddle and pulls in about £450 a week (before tax I should add), but i've just rang an agency for his place and they reckon it's bloody hard graft (not my scene now i'm used to retirement ) and until I get experienced i'd probably be working nearly 10 hours a day trying to finish my deliveries!!

I could use a few extra beer tokens for when I go on holiday in 3 weeks (after which i'll have a proper job anyway) and I always though van driving looked like a fun job in the summer

Based on experience of people i know, once you have had a bit of practice you can make quite good money if you drive like a fucking twat.

I think being self employed is the way to make proper money, as most employed drivers are on shite money.

I'm only after a couple of weeks easy money so I don't have to dip into the savings for my holidays, not like a career in van driving or anything!

Just thought that the van driving sounded more interesting than the other temp offers i've had so far this week (and better paid!)

I work for UPS, earn about £24k a year. I love it and wouldnt change it for anything

I do 100+ drops a day and it is very hard work constantly chasing deadlines but it keeps you motivated and you get to be out and about all day. Now its not too bad with regards to hours as the Working Time Directive means you can only do in the region of 9 hrs a day by law although understanding the details of it require a degree in english

I did multi drop for 2 years delivering office supplies, it was ok, good company and a good boss etc.

I was covering another drivers route and delivered to City Link where they offered me a job on double what i was already getting
