never seen any with it on

some 4wd safs had it but as optional extra i think

the 2wd uses twin fan belts as 4wd are single
duno if it helps like

So now we have more or less worked out it must be because of air con which was removed.... does that mean your dashboard is not standard and has been changed then???

So, it's approx 66% right and 33% left, but I am still not sure why there is a difference.

MrsFrog's 2wd is an E plate and pump is on the right side (inlet)
Eagle's 4x4 is a H plate and pump is on the left side (under turbo)
My 4x4 is a J plate and pump is on the right side (inlet)

Both eagle and my blocks are 200's.

Well if you ever came to the local weston PF meet and actually supported the forum you moderate then you might have seen them like others have

 

as a rule all aircon cars have p/s pump on the left(turbo side)and non aircon cars on the right(inlet side),but i believe late 4x4 sierras and escorts without aircon also had em on the left..................Dont quote me though...

 

BTW, its also the multi-V belt not a twin belt like real men have on their cossies too.

So its definately the aircon style setup minus the aircon.

Did you know that the starter motor (more anoraky stuff for you) for a 4x4 cossie comes with two different gearbox mating faces, and both have exactly the same part numbers, etc...
