Default Mk6 Pedal Conversion Failure

I fitted this conversion to my RS Turbo whenI fitted the CP2000 clutch kit about 4000 miles ago.

Anyway I was out with a mate on Sunday in the ABSOLUTE middle of no-where enjoying shall we say some spirited driving...I hit the limiter in 3rd then couldn't get it any any gear so had to stop

Checked the clutch cable and it had gone all slack So I tried to turn the adjuster on the pedal with an allen key and it just shattered and fell out from behind the dash

Has anyone else experiance this at all as it was an pain in the arse breaking down in the middle of nowhere!!!!! Is it a common failure or just a one off?? It was fitted correctly as far as I know!!

Lewis....mine wouldn't go in any gear without the mod

vroom ptsshhhh.....I started it in 1st on the starter then drove it for ages in 1st as I didn't think it'd go in any more gears. Got near home and though I'd give it ago and I just shifted up through to 5th no problem

the plastic quadrant sometimes breaks up, its not unheard of.
when fitted did you cut a section of the quadrant & use a rocker nut on the back of the allen bolt?

Lewis...

You do realise grey ones are now officially the fastest

Guzzler...

I didn't fit the lock nut to the bolt so maybe thats why its broken. I'll make sure I fit it properly this time then
