Default Noise Regs and Noise Test

Hi All,

I plan on goin to Combe and taking the Mk2 Escort however it makes a hell of a racket and i think it would be very close to the 100(ish)dB limit for the circuit. any one know where i could get the noise tested? only thing i came up with is popping down to my local SVA test centre and ask them to take a look,
Any Ideas?

Not sure locally, unless you can contact your local motor club.

We have one and I tested mine before last year and it was 98.6dB

Drove 4+ hours to Combe they did it and it was 101dB and wouldn't let me run Tried traking it back after a drive on the road and it was still 100.5dB according to them. I parked it up for a while took in some of the sights of the show - then later in the day went touring round the local estates on the roads taking my noise actually closer to the residents than if I were on track.

It was perfectly legal to do - but morally wrong I know

Make sure it is below their requirements though - they were strict.

thx for the welcome
only living just over an hour away from castle coombe the traveling isn't the issue but pre-paying the track fee and then beeing told i cant run would not be good. i live 10 mins from SVA test centre so i will have to make them my fisrt port of call.
