I have been suffering with stomach problems for almost 3 years now but every time I went to my GP he fobbed me off with tablets and the situation was never really solved. In the last few months things got a lot worse with a few visits to A&E but again nothing was sorted. After I got home from the northants show I wasnt feeling 100% but that was just the norm for me after a long day, but I woke up on the Monday morning with unbearable stomach/bowl pains and I went to hospital in an ambulance. I had an emergency operation that evening and then spent the next 3 days in intensive care (none of which I can remember at all!) Basically I have been diagnosed with having Crohns disease which courses inflammation of the bowls/intestines. But has I had been untreated for so long I had developed a hole in my intestine and part of it had to be removed.
I am going to see a specialist in 2 weeks to sort out exactly what can be done to reduce the effects. Hopefully its something that can be controlled but unfortunately its not something that can be cured. Fingers crossed Ill be more comfortable in a few weeks but at the moment I feel a quite saw got a nice 6 inch scar up my belly though lol!
Thanks again for all the messages, and thanks to Keith and max for visiting me in hospital, much appreciated chaps!

Nicole's mother has this and i wouldnt wish it anyone, im really sorry to read the diagnosis Dan, but im pleased to read you are now getting to the bottom of the reason for your suffering and can now hopefully formulate some lifestyle changes to ease the effects its been having on you for all these years.
Best of luck Dan
