Default s2 intercoolers.............

i know they are crap but what sort of boost is it that cooler begins to struggle to handle and end up with spirallin acts??? when you start it up ?? Is the Fiesta unit the same???

S2 Intercoolers are only good for 12 psi in my opinion. 14psi at a push, but not in weather conditions like it is today!!

up all three are poor but is any of the 3 the best? s1,s2,fez?

would have thought the s2 or fez would have been better...done later had more insight ...but still,ford never wanted them above 7psi!

surely the s1 is better though as it is all alloy and the s2 has plastic caps doesnt it

tbh i think they are almost entirely useless....

i was running 13psi through one for a few months and on hot days getting acts of up to 60C....normal acts of 40C ish.
i put a charge cooler on instead, and whilst the front was apart i took it to the bodyshop for a little spraying.
basically i couldnt be arsed to plumb all the chargecooler in so i drove it with no water in the system and got the same ACTs

so thats the same act's on a std IC as a heat exchanger with no water
