Default glue for silicone hose...

Hi,

I need a glue / adhesive that will stick to a silicone hose ! I've tried HV350, araldite etc... They set ok but as soon as you flex the hose it all flakes off Also it must be able to with stand heat....its for a water temp sensor that I've drilled and screwed in the hose, it sits really tight in there but I want to seal it up properly before putting it on the car. Anyone any ideas as what to use ???

Cheers, Duncan

yeah, I've got some 'setting' on there at the moment, will see if it has stuck when I get home

If that dosen't work, anyone else any ideas, it will have to be flexible as well.

why not do the job properly, get a proper T-piece the correct diameter of your water hose and drill & tap into it for your water sensor. Then mount the T-piece into the hose using jubliee clips to make it all water tight?
