Thing is, I came off the roundabout, fairly quick, then over the crest of the hill, there was this van.. so i slowed it right down, but he's gonna get my highest reading i expect...

I just saw a t5 sitting in a layby by my work (just enters a 30 into the city) fooking wanker had a little camera type laser thing (looked high tech and new) attached to his roof bar, pointing backwards towards oncoming traffic, obviously zapping people as they come past, thats a new one surely! no signs, no one to follow and pull u, u would never know if u just thought it was a copper parked up

I appreciate that they are just doing ther job.. well, saying that, I dont appreciate the fact that taxes we pay, go towards paying some pig sat hiding in bushes at a side of the road, where very little accidents occur, in a 30 limit.. dual carriageway BUT anyway
Its more to the point the way they sneakerly hide.. and always position after the crest of a hill, or Round a corner..its just fooking wrong that, IMO..

Adam sounds like an ANPR camera reading number plates for ins tax dodgy motors rather than a speed device.
Westy,the range of an LTI 20/20 Laser Camera is about a 1000 metres, But at this distance it will only register the speed, a more effective range for number plate reading is about 100 metres, so the revenue collector will probably zap you at a distance then track you in zapping as you approach,
Its all video limked as well so if the plate is blurred they can re-run the fun and get your plate from the video.

did you know ... that they can't use their tetra radio system when operating a speed camera it must be turned off..
you also see em with mobile fones on their stab jackets .. well if operating a hand held system the mobile must be turned off or be at least 50 cm's away from the equipment.....

And before you give it all that "so youve never got done for speeding blah blah, yes i have and just collected another 3 points to add to my other 3 i have but i spend more time on the road in one day then you do in a week. Plus i dont bitch, i know/Knew the limit on that road and i broke it, wether they caught me red handed or by camera i was speeding...
