look at prokie at bedford 1 bar of boost all he could run
Ive already booked my Topspeed record attempt date & it aint at Brunters 0r Elvington .

without taking anything away from what you are trying to achieve... i think that once you move your attempt away from brunters it then becomes hard to compare the record to others. for example i did just on 200mph in my mondeo about 3 years ago but because i had a 3 mile run at it and 50 miles to stop i said nothing, my car will be doing its top speed run on a 6 mile straight if that’s the case! not in the uk but if the goalposts are being moved..........

Thats the thing really...if the track is longer than Brunters then how can you fail ? Hell mine will do over 200mph on a long enuff test track!

I didnt realise Brunters is now a no go So my attempt with a screamer pipe let alone more than 1 bar is a no go

rod am not saying no will will try
what i am saying is 1st test run to set everything up ya run the strip and then get told to go home becuz you have gone over noise limits
if a 2 lt engine is pushing out well over 650 bhp with out gas then i carnt see any exhaust keeping it below 86
i not a expert in these fields but personlly i canrt see it passing the noise
good look anyway

Brunters is dead im afraid so new venues have to be found. I would be interested in the 6 mile straight or even a 3 mile one in this country.
Longest ive found is 2 miles which gives 4secs longer on the throttle @ 200mph than at Brunters.

8 injectors
jenvey inlet
all steel internals
Big valve head & cams
chargecooler that keeps a constant 35 degrees on full chat
MBE 970 (touring car ECU)
Quaife sequential gearbox
coil on plug
air to air boost control
anti lag
traction control
launch control
full throttle gearshift
AIM Mychron digital dash & datalogger
etc etc

carbon bodywork / titanium bits and bobs

circa 500kg

circa 400bhp for now (200 bhp is too much in these things, believe me)

= 800bhp per tonne

next is a GT turbo and tubular manifold for quick spool up but I'd like to get some use out of it this summer so I'm going to leave it as it is for now
