Well done Martin.........nice 1/2 page article on your ANZ/Andy Rouse RS500.........
AFAIK this makes Martin the first PassFord person to apear in a tabloid newspaper
This is the actual Andy Rouse built car that featured in the classic 1987 Bathurst race

I'd love any of those cars, let alone all three.
I'm glad to see the ANZ car being used - could so easily have parked these cars in a museum or put in storage, but it's on the track where it belongs

the funny thing is that i ticked the no publicy box! lol
as then you race you get a sheet to fill in for the commenter to give more info for the cars when they race,
and one of the commenters tracked me down in the pit garage and asked about the car and its history,
he has seen it race a couple of times with the ANZ livery and knew everthing about the old btcc cars and there drivers, he has even been over to bathurst a few times for the 1000k race,
and so got interested when the ANZ livery was used,
so he knew more than me lol
when i chatted to him he never said he was going to do an artical
or anything like that,
the car was a bargain, but it was stored for ten years and so needed a lot of work to get it running and race ready once more,
1st thing i changed was the engine loom and the ecu,
dont now where they last raced it as it had a 5.1 diff racio fitted!!
cloths line anyone?
lucky for me the car came complete with large spares package and i do have all the 9" racios to chose from,
so we opted for a more suitable 4.09 to start with,
good for 7.5k revs in fith at silverstone on the straight, just!
