Try this one.

loyalty to a particular marque means you can be sooooo blinkered to the benefits of others
agree 100%

Makes me laugh when you see people slagging certain cars, I've had a lot of differnet cars (205 gti's, golf gti's, rs turbo, cossies, gti-r's, wrx's, gtr skyline, mitsi evo, rx7, m3 etc etc) and they are all great in their own way.

The one that always gets my back up is speaking to serious RS nuts who won't try Jap stuff. Christ, I had cossies years ago and love them but I took a spin in a standard GTi-R and was blown away by how much better it was than a cossie and they are crap in comparrison to evo's.

What I'd like to do is take a hardcore RS lover who's never tried Jap and put him in a 360bhp Evo 6 for the week. And when the weeks up (and he's all confused from not topping it up with oil and has forgoten what a water temp gauge is) I'd ask him for the keys back and watch him cry like a baby

Best car I've owned? dunno haven't tried them all yet (but I'm working on it).. maybe an Elise next.

Anyone got any opinions on the E36 320 as an everyday/occasional track car??

Worth getting over say a 4pot 318?

Cheers

"You can't get out of a Cossie wearing a suit"

I didnt feel quite so daft getting out the M in my suit. Despite some nob head in a Escort Estate with his scabby wife and 2 kids telling me "You've got a fucking shitbox of a car" To be fair it was a bit mucky at the time.

Course you can. Looks odd granted. I've taken my S2 to many meetings. Get some weird looks at the traffic lights being in a caged RST with my jacket haging in the back

Actually you're right

320i as a trak car would be no good, not enough torque-just a plodder really. As a road car they're ok but a 323i is much quicker!

325/328 as a track car. Relatively cheap to pick up and much better than the rest
