Default What tyres for a 3-dr?

Getting 17x17 alloys for my 3-dr, whats the best tyre 205/215 or a combination. I don't wanna upset the handling just for the sake of a meaner look any suggestions. Also any opinions on the new Bridgestones compared to the F1 Eagles?

Cheers

If you are going for 7x17 you can either go 205.40.17 all round or 205s on the front and 215s on the rear or all 215s.

Provided its not too low it shouldn't catch, although i have not run mine with 215s on the front.

17*8j et33 all round on mine, 235/40 rear, 205/40 (too stretched soon to be replaced with 215/40), std rear height, 20mm drop front, did catch every corner and does need the arches/sleeves/trim grinding back

17*17 may catch a tad i reckon though PMSL

if you want looks then go for an 8" wheel at the back then, cos even with them there not gonna stick out loads,7's just look pure pony.thats why i sold mine
but saying that, when i did have 7's on i ran 205's all round and mine is lowered and it never rubbed at all

Apparently according to Rainbird 235's will kill the handling on a 7" wide rim.

Ive got 215/40's all round on my 3dr with 17x7 rims and it can catch very occasionaly at the front.

ive got 17x7.5j et 35 and 205/40 on the front - catch every now and again if cornered hard or if got really fat passenger

215/40s on the rear and no problems at all.

car is lowered to fook
