diesal gearboxes on rst???? and T28 turbo on rst.
Ive got a rst engine to replace my 1.8d engine in my van, what i want to know is, will the gearbox from the diesal be ok to use?
Have been told it is but just want to make sure lol.
Whats the diferance bar the lsd and ratios?
By the way it wont be a big power engine, proberbly 180bhp at the most really.
Right next question.
As above got the engine but no turbo, is it poss to use my pld turbo from my rouse sport? I know i will have to get a downpipe made to fit but will the turbo be ok to use?
Spose I will loose out on top speed but that doesnt matter too much.
What would it be like to drive? better spool up than a standard rst t3 or not?
Will be running just a chip and usual stuff ie exhaust, cooler etc.
cheers my darlings.

Not bothered wether its tougher to be honest, its just that i have it and might aswell use it.
Just trying to keep costs down at the mo, but if things pick up then i will get a proper rst box.

i think the rations are longer on the diesel box.
ive got one mate who swears by diesel boxes.
but he fitted one to another of my mates cars and he said it felt as slow as fook.
but it will run and the chances are it wnt blow up. but it wont be quick on accleration, but top end will be sweet

Still think you should of stuck with the 3i lump m8, but still, the diesel box will be fine m8, might give you a little more transmission loss then a standard one. What turbo did you have on the rouse ? It might be laggy as fook m8
Either way, you won't catch the general

Diesel box will fit fine, many people have fitted them. maybe not ideal but will fit.
T28 on the RST engine will also be ok, less lag and no noticable loss in top end performance, will need setting up proper tho Hope its not quicker than my RST
