Nope

B.S. 970 1991 Series 722M24 (a revision of B.S. 970 1955 Series EN40B Heat Treated)

A medium core strength steel with a high shock and wear resistance. Suitable for nitriding. Supplied hardened and tempered to 'T' condition.


Anything to do with Minis ??

I will hazard a guess that its denser than polystyrene and birds strawberry flavour blamonge.

My engineer mate says it's going to be between 7.5 to 8 gram per cm^3. If you need he can check it for you tommorow as this is quite exotic standard over here.

Alex, why not just ask Dodd mate?

EN40 is what the original cooper S cranks are made of, before they despecced down to EN24 on the later stuff IIRC

Still got 2 bearings missing though sadly
