Unfortunately, I am ognna be on my own tomorrow when the two chaps come to buy car, so naturally a little but "on-edge"

Decided not to give them address, but to get them to meet me at a landmark, I will meet them, suss it out, then if okay, will lead them back ot house where car is.

Show them car, take them out in it, all the while, all the history and ownership papers will be in the house (locked) with spare car keys.

If they go for it, will og back ot house so they can see history (outside - they ain't comnig in jsut yet), leaving V5 inside with spare keys.

If they deffo want it, then we will all go to bank (probably in work van, not in car) pay the money (get it all checked out make sure it ain't funny) and at that point we will all sign a "recipt of payment" stating they have paid me and I have recieved it....

Then we go back to mine, sign ove rthe V5, all sign a "reciept of sale" saying I have handed over car, then they can leave with it.

Is this a bit too much or is it a good idea to play it safe like this? Jsut cos there is 2 of them and only 1 of me, feel a bit vunerable

Seriously though, if it needs an alarm key or anything then zap it from the house and hide the fob just before you go out to the car. If it's like some alarms then you have like 20 seconds or something to start it so get out there quick and start her up!

Make sure you keep your mobile hidden so you can conceal it until they're gone if it all goes pear-shaped - at least that way you can 999 straight away without them leaving you with no phone!

Oh, and ask to see the cash before they can see the car! Wouldn't be so keen about 'em driving it either - I'd only let them go out one at a time with you passengering, and even then make sure they're not carrying beneath baggy clothes!

When you leave all the important stuff in the house, spread it around in different rooms so they can't just walk in and pick it all up. And don't forget - SOLD AS SEEN!
