Hi all, just need abit of advice, looking at getting one but are they really that slow? I don't have a business so not really using for what it's made for but i just want a economical mode of transport to get me work, plus something to chuck all the shite into that im taking out my house at the mo
It's this or a astra estate 1.7td
Im just think, low maintenace, only two seats to hoover, doesn't mata about dirt in the back.....
anything would be good

GUZZLER - that's what im thinking, i always do a intermitent oil change anyway, just thinkin or the sluggishness
i would but don't like the shape of the mk3's and the mk4's are a tad expensive at the mo

I get 40 round town and 50+ on a run Mk4 1.8Di 2 door estate.
They're not that slow, (well some are) you just need to know how to drive a diesel.
Test a few, cos i've found the performance vairies a lot from car to car with the diesels

For some reason, Ford vans RUST
Our W plate Fiesta has a bubbly wheel arch, and the 52 plate Courier has got big old scabs on it! Theres rust bleeding around the seams and hinges too!
Its only surface stuff but you'd never see it on a w plate fiesta car.
