Default rocker cover paint?

having our rst resprayed and want the rocker cover in the same colour (bayside blue).
Is this poss or will it peel off?, cant imagine any powder coaters having that colour pmsl

I was gonna give it to the bloke who is doing the paint job to do it, but wondered if its worth it?

You can get it in Powder for around £250 if you want it that bad lol.

Or just spray it in 2 pack (will crack eventually)

Use plastic primer, as it expands/contracts better. And bake the paint on. I used my oven, at 60 degrees. Been ok so far!

i did my old erst rocker cover in halfords cans... cleaned it properly .. then primered it up .. sprayed it over several days allowing the paint to harden in stages.. the just let it sit for a week .. put it on .. was ok for the remaining year i had it
also did the inlet manifold in the same way

If you can get a similar colour in plasticote it will never crack or at least mine never. Polished up as god as new to

im supposed to be getting mine done with a Scotland flag, dunno how its getting done tho? think it's jus normal paint with etch primer and a clear coat on after paint!

vroom better make sure the paint can take the heat first - otherwise it will crack and flake off and look shit.

should be able to cope with 120 deg C.

the bloke that's doing it said it'll be fine (no idea what he's gonna do but i made sure he knew it'd need to be able to take the heat and he said np )

35 quid is quite reasonable, altho for about 40 quid you can get it powder coated along with some other bits too, but i dont like the colours they have for powder coating.

wouldnt be able to get a Scotland flag powder coated on it tho i doubt would need powder coated white, then the blue on top, but leaving out the stripes

cossiemen, i think you can go it in 2pack paint, but best off askin a sprayer as i am not too sure, but that is what i've been told
