3 door Sierra Cosworth shell
Glasgow

A plate 1.6l 3 door Sierra rolling shell. Never been welded! Bodywork in amazing condition, no rust in any of the usual places, best example you will find! Ideal for rally car re-shell. Interior stripped out but otherwise drives. Has sunroof but not tilt and slide, could possibly deliver £800 ono

Glass looks clear to me as well and it would have come with that as standard!
Can't see a cage either unless it hasn't yet been fitted?
Doug for the above i would say 2k and 3.5k but the ID and it being a real cossie makes a huge difference!

Mint 3 door rolling shell £3500, with all bumpers / kit etc
RS500, £8,000 With the correct ID tho again with kit/ bumpers / spoilers etc etc
Looking at Dougs piccy i think thats well worth the £800 , I know its not a gen cossie shell , but for somone like Chip that isnt bothered about a log book that will make a minty mint example , Or slam a big block V8 in there and what a proper sleeper

Ok, maybe not a true bargain, but the "right" price nonetheless

Like anything else its worth what someone is prepared to pay for it, personally if i had the space to store it then i would buy it as a spare for mine, never know when its next going to end up bent!
One thing i will say to anyone wanting to do a cossie replica from a normal 3dr shell though is that the sunroof is an absolute whore of a job to swap over based on the amount of time it took Rich to cut the one out of my rs500 shell to put into my 1.6gl shell, you are talking 2-3 days work to do it, so if you are paying someone else to do it (thankfully im not!) then thats going to double the cost of this shell by the time its ready to be a cossie replica at the end of it.
Would make far more sense to start with a genuine cossie shell if you are spending big money on building up a car, as its going to be worth fook all at the end of it on a A reg logbook.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
i decided against a 1.6l shell for the log book reasons allthough there are enough people out there who would do a spot of cutting .
I found good condition shells for 300 to 500 quid,i managd to fine a genuine shell with all pannels for £1750,in unused mint condition .So i thought the extre grand was worth it.

be better in the long run to buy a genuine shell with id and start from there. unless its just for rallying etc.
