No chance of it maintaining that boost mate, unless you put a restrictor in the inlet WRC styleee!

Well whats it for then!

Need to know that to know what boost it will hold!

If its for a 1600 8v then no problem at all, if its for a 32v 7 litre V8 then you have no chance whatsoever!

Maximum boost you can hold is a function of how many lbs a minute the engine can consume just as much as how many lbs a minute of air the turbo can flow

I got a T28 hybrid on mine 360 bearing etc.. runs 23psi and holds it all day long reckon i could get a few more psi out of it

NO LAG turbo starts spining at 1600rpm

Not sure with your ECU would run that boost fuel etc..

It should manage to hold onto 25psi pretty much all the way up the rev range mate on that engine, as its a bit asmatic compared to a cossie motor, so the turbo needs to flow less air to maintain the boost.

I should think the T28 is pretty much a spot on choice for that application

(assuming you havent gone mega crazy with cams etc)

As were on the subject of rst's and t28s, would it make alot of diferance if i replaced a stg3 t3 for a t28 (from my rouse sport).
The engine is a 1.9 power + engine with stg3 head running cossie management, pro alloy cooler and rad?

cheers

I dont know the specifics of what you class as a stage 3 T3, but replacing with a smaller turbo is likely to bring it on boost sooner of course, but on the other hand you may find that at the top end you are out of the maximum efficency island on the t28, i would need to see compressor maps for the two turbos plus a power graph for your engine to give you details of exactly how it would differ.
