In DOS... Can u delete by creation date?

u could probably use xopy to move all the files to another location based on date. then delete whats left!?!

ditto what ebr said. i'm pretty sure the DEL command can only support filenames.

i do a similar thing here, but i use a VB program to do it for me

Hmmmm, using dos commands in NT, good luck!

Cant you just use the 'Find' command and specify a date for the file you want in a particular directory then highlight and delete them? You would then be able to retrieve them from the recycle bin if you made a mistake.

Ignor the above if you are writing a batch file though

What the other peeps said sounds good though

can you copy a file to "nul" ?

ive never tried but it MIGHT work
