What to do?
Mabey i can get an idea of what to do from this thread.
I have a Silver 4X4, Reg Feb 93, 1 previous owner (my dad) 90K on the clock and had a massive engine / box rebuild just before i put it off the road. I have a huge folder with receipts and paperwork for everything the car has ever had.
It has been laid up now for around 3 yrs and the rust has taken a huge hold so do i take the time and restore it and keep it forever or do i cut my losses and scrap it?
I have been looking at the prices these things are making and it seems that for not alot of money you can pick up a pretty decent car so will it be worth while spending another load of cash on it just to get pennies when the time comes to sell?
What do i do?
Cheers,
Paul.

Depends really if yer going to use the money to buy another cossie then pointlless as you buy anorger that has different problems
But at the end of the day if that bad yours dying, will help others live on,plush a nice wad of cash
At the end of the day it all depends if the car has srntimental value

Dont have any pics of the rust (yet) but will get some sorted out shortly. For the time being it has,
holes in both inner wings
rust on both outer wings
hole in the roof beside the sunroof o/s
holes below both rear lights where the 1/4 pannels meet the rear pannel
Non existint rear pannel behind the rear bumper
and just the other week i pulled the spoiler through the bootlid .
Funny thing is that underneath the car is actually ok. I was under there with a screwdiver giving it large and never found 1 hole. The rear chassis legs Ect are spot on with no signs of bad corrosion at all.
It will need all the brake and fuel lines done but that has to be expected and the whole underside will need wirebrushed back and waxoiled.
Whats putting me off is the hole in the roof and the inner wings. Good thing is it all seems to be topside but as everyone who has rebuilt a car knows, once you get in there with a grinder a hole the size of a 5p can turn into a massive fabrication job
Dont know just looking for some ideas as to whether you folks think its worthwhile or not.
Thanks,
Paul.
