Default What CAT1 Alarm?

Got to get an alarm in the next 2 weeks so want to know your thought and experiences.

I've been looking at the Clifford Concept 300.
Been told you only get problems due to bad installation with Clifford.

Budget no more than £350.00

What have you got?
And why did you go for that one?

Hiya Matt,

I have a Concept 300 on mine at the moment, but once the engine is in I am getting it cut out and having a new one fitted, probably a new Clifford G5.

Speak to Sounds Alarming (in Welling) 0208 309 8999, ask for Andy, tell him Tony sent you (I bought his girlfriend's car) and he will point you in the right direction. I reckon though for around £350 he will say a Cobra.

Pukka alarm, I had one on my '3i for a year never had a problem, and it was fitted by Sounds Alarming.

Let me know how you get on dude if you ring up.

Toad all the way mate.... Had Cliffords and Toads in many cars... Some of the Cliffords gave me grief, some were spot on, but havent had one problem with Toad. Just had my Concept 300 taken out of my RST for a Toad. (AI606)

Whereas we had problem after problem with the Toads in our company vans

I got a Clifford Concept 300, great alarm.

Both Toad and Clifford are great and very reliable if installed properly.

Any problems you get with either will be down to installation

My TOAD goes off at all hours and I can't find the damn box to change sensitivity!

Also I broke the contact that makes the alarm go off if someone gets the boot open!

Well the car still has no interior and all the wiring is open as the new management is just being finished off.

I would stand there and watch the block with the Rotweilers lead in one hand and say, "if i see one scotch lock i'll drop the lead"

Any one heard of Gemel???

We can fit you a Clifford for £350.

Our alarm installer is spot on, and will talk you through everything he does on the car.............

His standard of work is second to none, and he's an old RSOC member, so knows and loves his RSs........

I'm in the same position.

Dunno if the new Concept 650 is worth the extra, what, £100 over the Toad.
