TPS is good and it works. If you mention tps to cold callers they soon scurry off, but its better to tell them that your putting them on hold for two ticks and see how long the suckers stay on for

 

I've just started getting these on my mobile aswell ...any idea how I can stop this?

 

I sat here one day and got the start of the patter on my home phone, 5 minutes later it was the work line, and 2 minutes after that it was on the fax line.

TPS works with most, but the latest technology means the computer does the dialling, usually from abroad so TPS can't touch them!, and that's why you get that silent pause when you answer, while the "salesman" comes on the line.

Still, at least I learned something that day!
