The problem with making an S1 or S2 chatter is the metering head gets in the way. When you lift off the plate in the metering head shuts and stiffles the noise. Some will make a small amount of chatter. When you convert the management you do away with the metering head.
The chattering also has fook all to do with the wastegate. It's actually the air being pushed back through the turbo and in effect being chopped by the turbo's blades.

kev, youre getting the same effect, the sound being deadened out.
also the FRS does have a dumpvalve as std, have you still got this plumbed in :P

Kev, you got the K&N on there? My re-circ valve is loud as fook now with the cone, proper chav. I asked Mike if I should take the valve out, would probably get it then, but he didn't advise it.

I got no filter yet just Bluefin and by dumper do u mean re circulating dump vavle and if so how do i get rid and should i ? ??

i cant say wether to get rid of it or not on the FRS as i dont know what it would do!
but i ditched it on the cossie & on the SX!
do that get a cone filter & wey hey She'll chatter like a monkey on crack!

Kev, with the cone it does almost sound like you've got an atmospheric dumper on there, hence I wanted rid, but Mike said it would be best left on. But hey, chav noise is better than no noise!!
